Today’s start ingredient is Ginger. I love Ginger and use it every day, in my “morning elixir”. But today I thought I would look at some other ways to drink it. I have been reading lots about Ayurvedic Healing and Medicine this week, and am really interested in it.
As suggested in Ayurveda, I sometimes eat a slice of raw ginger with a little lime before meals, to stoke the digestive fire. Eating Ginger also improves the way your body absorbs and uses different nutrients, and your circulation. It is also great for the joints, and early stages of arthritis, and generally for sickness (feeling sick, motion sickness etc).
The tea I have made today is great to drink when you are feeling sluggish, low in your mood, or when your metabolism is slow. It is said to promote an ideal weight, energy, and an optimistic outlook! Who doesn’t want this?!
